    OK, I'm, Blogging

Talk about being a slacker that is me.  Just seems since I've been off from work I find so much that needs to be done around our home.  It's those jobs that can only be done in the summer and I've just about got all of them done.  Note I said just about!!! I still have a picket fence I want to put up for the puppies so I can get them off the porch and into the yard for romping and playing.   This week I cut the grass twice, it's been very warm and humid and the grass grows so fast and I can't stand it to look shabby , another glitch I have!!!!  Somebody stop me please I need a break!!!

Tomorrow is my son's 43rd Birthday.  Since the day he was born he has been a hoot.  I don't care how down you are , he can make you laugh and he is the best coffee buddy a mom could have.   We sit and drink coffee and talk and talk about anything.  Even though we were in the Navy I had him in a Army hospital, total cost of delivery $5.25 and that was for my meals!!! What does it cost to have a baby today? Thousands I'm guessing, !!!  Anyway, he my son and I love him very much and Happy Birthday John.
This is the birthday boy with his Mama and Grandmother on a 4th of July a couple of years ago.  This picture reminds me of our Christmas pictures, as he and I would always get our picture together at the Christmas tree ever since he was a little kid. He loves Christmas.  Happy Birthday John.  I will call him tomorrow as he has been in Washington DC since Thrusday on a little vacation. He called me once and said he was in front of the White House.  I'm sure he had a good time as he use to live there , showing his friends what and where he knows about DC.

Since I last blog I've gotten the hallway walls and ceilings painted.  Didn't have daughter to help but I was able to accompolished it by myself.  I did it in an afternoon. I still have three more ceilings to paint, I think I will wait until fall to get this done.  I spend a lot of time taking care of my flowers as I planted way too many this year and with all the hot and dry weather I'm always watering.  It's been well worth the effort as they are just beautiful and I do enjoy them so.

Hayden is doing great!! Still not talking but he is smart as a tack.  He understands everything I tell him and he too knows how to make coffee.  I pour the water in and he drops the lid so the water will flow and turn on the heater.  He loves helping me.  Here is a picture of him with me after we made a pot of coffee. I call it my coffee buddy.
He doesn't look happy but he always smile after the camera flashes!!!  Anyway being a great grandmother makes me very happy and this little boy has a lot to do with it!!! He does keep me in shape!!!

Did I tell you guys I planted a punkin patch this year?  Well I did and I've had the best time taking care of these and watering and watching them grow.  I will have enough for decoration and pies!!!Now I have a punkin patch story to tell you about one of my puppies.  Hub the little male was in the punkin patch with me and he got stung by a bee, I didn't think anything of it as he had been stung before and a little yelping and he would be ok.  Well, this time he wasn't  , about 5 minutes after he was stung I found him laying on the ground not doing well, I picked him up and ran to the house with him and hubby and I are freaking, because he was leaving us, went straight to the vets and three shots and some pills he was all better, so now I have to watch so careful of him and bees, but I do have pills to give him if it happens again.  I thought he was going to die. Scared the begebbers out of me.

Speaking of puppies they all three got a bath today and Benji got a haircut. They all look and smell so good.  Do you remember the song "Don't fence me in"? Well here is a shot of being fenced in!!!Hub is the silver face and he's the one who was stung by the bee and the little black face is Sadie.  They are about 99.5% house broken.  The other .5% is my fault for not paying attention as they give me plenty of signals and my mind is somewhere else!!!  I've got one more picture to show you and that is Benji before I cut his hair, isn't he the sweetest thing? I cut a lot of his fur off today as the weather is too hot and humid for him.  He helps me so much with the puppies , if the puppies take off from me all I have to say is Benji go get the puppies and he does!!!  He's such a smart little dog.  Instead of me rescueing him he rescued me!!!

One last thing and I will quit as I'm sure you are tired of reading about my boring life, my twin grand daughters had a birthday on the 30th of July , Remember Rachel she won the scholarship, she is the one on the left I think? LOL  They turned 17 and they are the sweetest two girls and I just love them so.

Ok one more last thing hubby and I celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary on July 31st.  We went out to a nice restraunt and had dinner and talked over the last 45 years and all the things that had happen to us .  All in all we have had quite a ride and I would marry him again in a heartbeat.

Have a wonderful week and I will try to blog more often and to my blogging buddies thanks for stopping by and checking on me.  I'm ok,  just been busy with life.

    Hugs to you all
    Pat

Hello friend...I just couldn't leave without reading your blog. I haven't been on here much as life is soo busy during the summer here on our ranch. I will try to take some time and write a blog hopefully this week. I sure enjoy reading about your busy life, and looking at your pics of course :) , Hayden has sure gotten big, they grow soo fast! Loved your pumpkin patch, when my kids were still at home I used to plant pumpkins for them so they would have some to carve for Halloween, and enough for me to decorate with too. Well the past two yrs I haven't planted any, I miss that, I will have to remember and plant some next year. Today i am taking our quad and heading up to the back pasture, hubby wants to make sure the horses have enough water in the ponds to drink, it's been so dry as of late. I better head out, just thought I'd stop and say hi.
    TAKE CARE, Hugs~ Sunee :)

This IS a wonderful blog! Happy Birthday to John---you SHOULD be proud of him! And Hayden is so cute---just wait until he starts talking---you won't be able to shut him up! The pups look like a handful, especially now that you have to watch those bee stings. And the twins are darling---they really DO look alike, don't they??!!! At least they don't dress alike....

This was such a joyful post Patsy. Every paragraph and every line. Worth waiting for. And Happy Birthday to you dear son! I feel the same way about my sons. Us moms are our childrens best fans from the minute they bless us with their presesnce and forever more afterward. ;-)
I really enjoyed the family portrait of you, him and your mom. And the pups too, after all they too are members of the family and the cutest little puppies I have seen. (I meant that!)
The pumpkins got a big smile out of me..I'm still smiling. Patsy, you are a treasure.
    Lots of hugs,
